The essentials are covered for a simpler mountain holiday. Ideal for groups with mixed plans.

Alpine Edge is a practical base that works for skiing, mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing, and slower days. Share the cost with family or friends and give everyone the freedom to enjoy the mountains their own way.

  • Sleeps 13 with multiple bedrooms and a flexible bed layout. Alpine Edge has bedrooms on two levels. Both the ground and top floors have a queen bedroom, a bunk room, and a shared bathroom, meaning two or three families can share the house but have their own space.
  • Large dining table and a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen. Feed 13 at once, with a place for everyone to sit and eat. Cook together, share meals, and reconnect without relying on village services and restaurant availability.
  • Full laundry, mud room, and dedicated drying room. Enter Alpine Edge through the mudroom, which has space for equipment storage. Keep your gear warm, dry, and organised in the dedicated drying room. Pack less, knowing you can wash if needed.
  • Walking distance to snow play, dining, cafes and spa. No need to drive. Everything is within walking distance, including the toboggan hill, beginner ski slope, playground, pubs, onsen, and gym.
  • Easy access to Mt Hotham via nearby shuttle. Avoid paying resort entry. Walk to the Mt Hotham bus stop and be at the lifts in 20 minutes.

Dinner Plain Alpine Village is Australia’s only freehold village above the snowline. Alpine Edge is tucked into a quiet corner of this unique place. You are only minutes on foot from:

  • The toboggan hill and Cobungra Platter beginner ski slope
  • Playground, tennis court and disc golf
  • Local cafes, hotels, distillery and spa
  • Cross-country ski trails, mountain biking trails and scenic walks through Alpine National Park.

If you want to ski or ride, Hotham Alpine Resort is a 10-minute drive away. With 320 hectares of skiable terrain, Mt Hotham has something for everyone. The resort’s 14 lifts access 20% beginner, 40% intermediate and 40% advanced trails.
